Becoming a change leader with the Executive Management Programme

Rajendra Mane has done his Bachelor’s in Production Engineering from Pune University & has completed PGEMP from S. P. Jain Institute of Management and Research. He started his career with Cummins as a trainee engineer. He brings with him a rich experience of over 25+ years.

At Cummins, he has worked in different manufacturing units, especially in different Engine Assembly lines in Pune. He was involved in New Greenfield Project Start-up of Phaltan High Horse Power Plant & was instrumental in setting up the 2 Engine Assembly lines, Test & Paint operations as Assembly & Test Leader. Amongst his many achievements, he has the distinction of successfully completing the installation & commissioning of Two new Engine facilities with “Zero” start-up issues in year 2000 & 2008.

Before being Plant Manager, his previous stint was - Operations Leader in Cummins Power Generation plant based in Phaltan, which produces low KVA Gensets from 10 to 330 KVA for export markets.

Currently, Rajendra is the Plant Manager of Pirangut Power Systems Plant based at Pune, Maharashtra. This plant is doing special project of Engines & Gensets for domestic market in different segments such as Marine, Rail, Mining, Defence, Oil & Gas & Pumps.

Rajendra has also completed the Visionary Leaders for Manufacturing (VLFM) Programme (Batch 12), now called Champions for Societal Manufacturing. This program which was launched in 2006, is a path breaking Programme started by Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in partnership with Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), Government of Japan and National Manufacturing Competitiveness Council (NMCC), Government of India.

Rajendra is a certified Six Sigma green belt & Sponsor and a certified Internal Auditor for ISO 14001:2004.
